Eligibility.
The successful Applicant will be chosen by the Kristian Fredrikson Scholarship For Design In The Performing Arts Selection Committee (”The Kristian Fredrikson Scholarship Award Committee”) on the basis of a demonstrable history of outstanding achievements and commitment to their profession; originality, creativity, technical and interpretative skills and the viability of their study plan.
Applicants are required to be:
a mid-career artist who has completed five professional (contracted to, paid commission by, a company) live stage productions or have demonstrated a proven record of professional activity over at least 3 years;
an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status in Australia.
And will be required to submit:
a completed application form (including contact details for three referees);
a detailed curriculum vitae;
design images (costume drawings, set drawings or renderings, or production photographs where applicable) from 5 separate professional productions. Please include no more than four images per production;
3 letters of recommendation from collaborators;
a detailed study plan noting what they hope to achieve and how it would benefit their career by travelling overseas to study;
a simple breakdown of planned expenditure to ensure the applicant’s intentions are achievable within their financial means.
