Financial Donations, Grants and Bequests

Their belief in the importance of The Kristian Fredrikson Scholarship for Design in The Performing Arts and their financial support has made it possible for the foundation committee to commence fundraising.

The Fredrikson Scholarship Founding Committee continues to actively seek additional donations, grants and bequests. The Australian Communities Foundation administrates the scholarship. Please see our donations page for details and donation form.

Institutional Support in Kind

Institutional support in kind, in the form of provision of administrative infrastructure, professional advice, and promotional services have been kindly donated by the Arts Centre, The Australian Ballet, Victorian College of Arts and the National Institute of Dramatic Art.

Fundraising Exhibition

As part of initial fundraising an exhibition of Australian theatre designers’ work for sale was held in the Smorgon Family Plaza at the Arts Centre, St Kilda Road Melbourne, with works donated by prominent designers or those who own such designs. The Kristian Fredrikson Scholarship For Design In The Performing Arts Scholarship was officially launched during this exhibition, a high profile event, which was held April 2008 to coincide with the Opera Australia’s Autumn season.
